Join battlefield docent Chris Manzey and eminent naturalist Elliot Tramer on a tour of the Fallen Timbers Battlefield site. In addition to learning about the battle of August 20, 1794 that opened the Midwest to European settlement, the co leaders will look at the current natural history features of the site and try to recreate the possible appearance and condi tions of the site at the time of the battle. May is also an excellent time to find spring wildflowers in the forested areas. Meet at 10:00 am at the battlefield parking lot at 4949 N. Jerome Road. Be prepared for a 1.5-mile walk. Mosquitoes are occasionally present, so consider bringing repellent.
