Exploring Snakes of the New World and Old World

Join Landon Links for an educational and interactive presentation exploring the incredible diversity of snakes from both the New World and Old World. He’ll be sharing his passion for snakes while highlighting some of the rarest North American species, including black pine snakes, Louisiana pine snakes and Kentucky pine snakes. Landon will cover their natural history, ecological importance, and the threats they face in the wild. Attendees will also have the opportunity to hold and interact with select snakes, offering a hands-on learning experience.
The goals of this event are to challenge misconceptions, foster appreciation, and emphasize the importance of snake conservation. Meet at the Secor Room at Secor Metropark (Central Ave. entrance).
